LABOR LOGS

  • Describing the labor you actually did during this module.
    • Include the time you spent on activities
  • I spent more than an hour and a half reading through the Module Assignments and Tasks for Week 1.
  • The Reading this week was interesting in that it introduced a new concept regarding Rhetorical writing, including the idea that our writing must be tailored to the audiences for which it is intended.
    • Where you labored to complete them
  • I worked from my Home Office on tasks that required reading and writing. I logged into Blackboard from my Desktop to complete many of the Assignments.
  • I also used the Blackboard app on my cellular telephone to reread the Assignments and tasks for the week.
  • I contacted our Professor, James Wright, to ask questions using my Desktop computer and Mobile Email app.
  • I used the GroupMe class group to engage with other classmates using my Cellular telephone.
  • I used the Vital Source Bookshelf app to leverage the read aloud feature for the readings for Week 1.
  • Explaining and questioning your own motivations for taking up this labor, especially clarifying why you were or were not motivated, what barriers you attempted to address as you learned, and how this labor of finding motivation and addressing barriers might carry over into your work in the next module and in your own workplace.
  • I was motivated to complete the Assignments this week and to remove any barriers to my completing them.
  • I communicated with the Professor for the Course to address my concerns and to clarify any questions I had regarding the expectations he had for our Assignments.
  • In so doing, I also began to understand the amount of time it would take to be successful in this Course this Term, and removed one barrier that would preclude my successful Course completion.
  • Ultimately, I learned to pace myself by logging into the Blackboard Course and GroupMe daily to ensure that I was abreast of all Assignments, requirements, and updates provided by the Professor and my Peers related to the Assignments for the Week.
